The Bridge


The mountainous Guizhou province in China has numerous suspension bridges to carry expressways across the deep river valleys. One of these is the Baling River Bridge which reduced the journey across the river from an hour to a few minutes when it opened in 2009.

It is a steel suspension bridge design with an open truss deck that has a central span of 1,008m.
