In March 2005, the engineering world lost an iconic figure. Dr William Brown (known to everyone as Bill) died in London at the age of 76. In a career spanning more than five decades, Bill designed more than a dozen major suspension bridges, including the Severn Bridge, two Bosphorus Bridges and the proposed Messina Strait crossing. B2 celebrates his outstanding innovations.
